Who We Are

Graceful Design Gardens

is a LLC founded in 2007. Jill and Sarah met working together for the wonderful Betty Sharpless and Good Help in the early aughts. Discovering they have many complementary skill sets and similar values, including family, spirituality, environmental preservation, good hard work & beauty.  After working with Betty for many years, she encouraged Jill & Sarah to team up and start working for themselves.  They began hiring staff in 2010 and currently work with 40 residential and commercial clients from Reems Creek to Cane Creek, and lots of places in between!

Sarah Rightmyer Repoley moved to Asheville in the summer of 2001 after graduating from Guilford College with a BA in Religious Studies, a minor in Art and a Women’s Studies concentration.  A lover of shelter magazines from a young age, Sarah had a subscription to Architectural Digest at the age of 10. Since childhood, Sarah has drawn floor plans, photographed landscapes & developed a strong, inquisitive design style with an eye toward beauty, balance, inspiration, and relaxation.

Loves: KA & B + W — world’s best daughters & their often useful & incredibly talented dad; traveling, reading, lying in the sun and hosting friends and family for meals, parties, and celebrations.

Jill Huebner landed in Asheville in the blizzard of March 1993.  She started gardening as a kid, digging sweet potatoes from her family’s front yard garden. An aficionado of landscape (and a sometime painter of landscapes), she brings a fine art (BFA) and art therapy (MA) education to her work.  Jill is a good listener who derives satisfaction from helping people connect with their land and with the life and beauty of the natural world in their gardens.

The best parts of my day and what I am grateful for: the present moment; fascinating and positive work that I love; strong, beautiful, adventurous family, L, Sam & Ike; not one, but two spiritual homes, and learning the names of all these plants in our incredibly diverse bio-region!
